| Jim Fosdyck 1948-2023
It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of Jim Fosdyck today Sunday April 30, 2023. Jim was a former President of the Orange County Chapter SAR, a past President of the California State Society SAR, a past Vice President General of the Western District NSSAR, a former CASSAR Color Guard Commander, a past National SAR Color Guard Commander, and a SAR Minuteman (Class of 2022.) He was currently serving the CASSAR as a liaison to the SAR George Washington Endowment Fund.
Jim served his country in the 3ed Infantry Regiment of the U.S. Army (The Old Guard) as a Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and a participant in President Richard Nixion's Inauguration Parade. After his military service he became a Deputy in the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, rising to the rank of Sergeant.
Jim was a devoted husband, grandfather, Compatriot and friend.

It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Compatriot Jim F Blauer. An Eagle Scout, Jim has been a beloved member of the Califoirnia State Society Sons of the American Revolution since April 29, 1981. A member of many fraternal organizations, Jim was highly involved in the Orange County Chapter and with State Society business. A kind and giving person Jim was selfless with his time and received many honors for his efforts. And he was my Friend. Please celebrate his life with us.
